Oil and gas drilling in Alberta this year had its strongest start in four years, according to data compiled by the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors. Canada’s Finance Minister Jim Flaherty today announced another round of tightening mortgage rules aimed at reining in elevated household debt and reducing risks born by Canadian taxpayers.
